Schematic Design for a small house in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The site overlooks the alluvial plain of a narrow river valley. The two bedrooms are parallel to the near view of the river and mountains, while the multi-purpose great room faces a long view of the valley as it turns towards the Southwest, with a view of Sugarloaf Mountain in the distance. High clerestory windows bring in light from the East, while a deck projects over an existing pool to the South.
